Terms of use
Use ReadTune
with clear boundaries.
These terms describe the conditions for using ReadTune. They do not reduce any rights you have under applicable law.
Reading support, not medical care
ReadTune is a reading-accessibility and productivity tool. Its preference check is not a diagnosis, clinical assessment, medical device, treatment, or substitute for professional medical, educational, vision, or accessibility advice. Results are suggestions to try, not guarantees of improved reading speed, comprehension, or health outcomes.
AI output can be wrong
Optional AI features may produce incomplete or inaccurate explanations, summaries, definitions, or annotations. Check important information against the original text or another reliable source. ReadTune does not provide medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice.
Third-party services
Some optional features use third-party services described in the Privacy Policy. Their availability, terms, and privacy practices are controlled by those providers. ReadTune does not guarantee that an optional provider will always be available.
Open-source software and third-party licenses
ReadTune's own source code is provided under the repository's MIT License. Bundled third-party components remain subject to their own licenses. See Third-Party Notices for the consolidated list.
Acceptable use
Use ReadTune lawfully and do not use it to violate another person's rights, interfere with services, bypass access controls, or submit content you are not permitted to process.
Age and authority
If the law where you live does not allow you to enter binding agreements on your own, use ReadTune only with the involvement or permission of a parent, guardian, or other person who can act for you where required. ReadTune does not require an account or payment to use the extension.
No warranty
To the extent permitted by law, ReadTune is provided “as is” and “as available,” without a promise that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, compatible with every website, or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing here excludes a warranty or right that applicable law says cannot be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the project maintainer is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from use of ReadTune. This limitation does not apply where applicable law does not allow it.
Changes and contact
These terms may be updated when the product or its legal obligations change. Material privacy changes will also be reflected in the Privacy Policy. Questions can be raised through the project's GitHub Issues.
